At Coca-Cola’s request, Strän followed through again by executing and handling the logistics of this modified program. We are proud to help with this campaign especially because each purchase directly supports US Olympians, Paralympians, and Olympic hopefuls. The new idea and look is in line with the previous campaign, yet it is evidently newly inspired with the gold printing and replacement of hometown personalization with the more unified “USA”. Thus, Strän has ensured brand consistency while applying a refreshing and thematic update.
Together, the Just-A-Kid campaigns speak to the importance of both individuality and team identity. Both of the Powerade campaigns (the Just-A-Kid from Somewhere and the Just-A-Kid from the USA) are being carried out on the same e-Commerce site by Strän. While consumers and athletes can support their country for the upcoming games, they can still commemorate their humble beginnings with their hometown shirts as well. With the games almost here, it is evident that uniting under one team name, no matter individual stories, is both powerful and inspiring; and as Helen Keller once said, “alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much”. At the same time, the fact that Americans and the US team come from such different backgrounds is what fosters the diversity that fuels our unique strength on the global stage. Phil Jackson’s quote, “The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team,” captures this reciprocal value. In the grand scheme of it all and in national pride, “we’re all Just-A-Kid from the USA”. The Strän team wishes the best of luck to the entire US team over these next two weeks.
